Cookie Policy
What this site stores on your device, why, and how to change your choice.
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This page explains what the ECOWASH website stores on your device, why, for how long, and how to change your mind. It covers cookies and the equivalent browser storage: under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, and Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code that implements it, the same rules apply whichever technology is used.
Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is stored until you make a choice on the banner. You can change that choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Strictly necessary
These make the site work as you expect and cannot be switched off. They do not require consent. None of them is used to track you or is shared with anyone.
| Name | Type | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
ecowash_consent |
Cookie | Remembers the choice you made on the cookie banner, with its date, so you are not asked again. | 6 months |
ewEstimate |
Session storage | Carries the figure produced by the cost calculator to the enquiry form, so you do not have to retype it. Removed once the form is sent. | Until you close the tab |
ew-pl |
Session storage | Remembers that the opening animation has already played, so the next pages load with a short transition instead. | Until you close the tab |
ew-langhint |
Session storage | Remembers that you closed the “also available in…” suggestion or chose a language, so it is not shown again. | Until you close the tab |
The security token that protects the enquiry forms is part of the page itself and is not stored on your device. People who log in to manage the site receive the standard WordPress login cookies; visitors never do.
Analytics
The site does not currently use any analytics service. The Analytics category exists in the cookie settings so that, if we add one in future, it can only run with your consent — and this page will be updated before that happens.
Marketing — off unless you allow it
If you allow it, the site remembers which campaign, search or referring site brought you here, and the first page of your visit. If you then send an enquiry, that information is attached to it, so we can tell which advertising is worth paying for. Nothing is shared with advertising networks.
| Name | Type | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
ewTouch |
Session storage | Campaign parameters (such as utm_source) and the first page of your visit. |
Until you close the tab; if you send an enquiry, it is kept with the enquiry as described in the Privacy Policy |
Third-party services
The site does not load social media plugins or fonts from external servers: the fonts are served from our own server. Two external services are used only when you ask for them:
- Google Maps — the map on the Contact page is not loaded until you click “Show map”. After that click, Google may set its own cookies, which are governed by the Google cookie policy.
- WhatsApp — the WhatsApp buttons are ordinary links. Nothing from WhatsApp is loaded on our pages; the service is involved only if you open a chat.
If you refuse
The site works exactly the same. Every page, the cost calculator and all enquiry forms function normally.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and takes effect immediately. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; the banner will then appear again on your next visit. We ask again after 6 months, or sooner if the categories change.
